Ricardo gained his 5th-degree Black Belt studying under professor Jorge Pina Barbosa in São Lourenço, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has won over 80 medals throughout his career winning multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the most important tournaments of IBJJF(International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation)
In addition to that, he has won several medals in the Gaman Championship and Naga Championships and won several medals at AJP(Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro) in 2014, 2015 and 2016
Ricardo also holds a brown belt in Judo although his focus is 100% dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Ricardo possesses extensive knowledge in training and managing large group classes while closely paying attention to each one of his student’s needs and goals. Whether it’s the desire to get fit, compete in the sport, or simply gain life-saving self-defense skills.
